Academic Year 1998-1999

Here are some of the sculptures that I made during the last year of my undergraduate education. As you can see, this is not fine art. It all started with my kneeded eraser. While thinking, I would shape it into some pretty interesting things, and I wanted to preserve these cool shapes for eternity. But eventually I needed to erase something and the shape was gone. Then one day I discovered Sculpey III. It's a white clay-like substance that you can bake hard in an ordinary oven. My imagination took off and these are some of the results. I've got more from that period to add...and maybe some new ones some day.
