I am working on a really cool javascript interactive timeline visualization for this page, but it's not quite ready yet. This whole website is about me, so I'm not really sure what else to put in an "about me" page besides information about my hobbies and where I've lived and things like that, which are all on the timeline (that's coming soon).

Dr. Aaron Bramson is principal investigator of the AI Strategy Center of GA technologies in Tokyo, Japan, as well as an Affiliate Researcher in the Department of General Economics of Ghent University in Belgium. Before joining GA technologies, he worked four years as a researcher at the Riken Brain Science Institute where he also co-created a venture company based on patented research performed there. His research specialty is complexity science, especially methodologies including agent-based modeling, network theory, and big data analysis. Research topics span across disciplines and range from theoretical to applied: measures of polarization and diversity, multimodal confidence measures, integrating geospatial and network analyses, measuring walkability, bottom-up neighborhood identification, and myriad applications in artificial intelligence and data visualization. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in a joint program with the departments of Political Science and Philosophy. Before graduating, Aaron worked in the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto teaching MBA courses and developing Bayesian network techniques for business applications. Before attending University of Michigan, Aaron earned an M.S. in mathematics from Northeastern University in 2004, as well as a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Florida in 1999.
